Speakers:

Sharon Thorne, Deloitte Global Board Chair

Sharon is the Chair of the Deloitte Global Board. She has 34 years of experience auditing and advising clients across a broad range of sectors and has spent more than three decades on boards.
An advocate for collective action on environmental sustainability and climate change, Sharon regularly engages with global leaders from businesses, governments, and NGOs, and frequently speaks about ESG-related matters in public forums. She is a strong believer in the need for greater diversity, equity, and inclusion in business and civil society, and she has long championed greater diversity in senior leadership roles to build a more equitable future for all.
Prior to leading the Deloitte Global Board, Sharon held a number of executive roles including Deputy CEO and Managing Partner Global & Strategy of Deloitte North West Europe. She was a Deloitte UK audit partner for 20 years and has extensive experience serving as lead audit partner for FTSE-listed and large private clients and coordinating services around the globe. 
Sharon is currently a member of the A4S Advisory Council, the Social Progress Imperative Board, the World Economic Forum Platform for Shaping the Future of the New Economy and Society Stewardship Board, the Shanghai International Financial Advisory Council, and the 30% Club. 


Ilham Kadri, CEO at Solvay

Ilham Kadri is CEO and President of the Executive Committee of Solvay, a materials, chemicals and solutions company which through its purpose, values and science contributes to protecting the climate, preserving resources and fostering a better life.
 Under her purpose-driven leadership and mandate to unleash Solvay’s potential, Solvay developed and launched in less than a year its strategy G.R.O.W. with its bold and holistic Solvay One Planet sustainability objectives, as well as Solvay’s Purpose: We bond People, Ideas and Elements to Reinvent Progress. Soon after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, she created the Solvay Solidarity Fund for employees and their families who are in need due to the crisis. 
Dr. Kadri is a world citizen with a rich professional experience across a variety of industries in four continents and with leading industrial multinationals, including Shell, UCB, Huntsman, Dow Chemical and Sealed Air. Prior to Solvay, Ilham Kadri was CEO and President of Diversey in the United States, having led the company’s return to profitability and resulting spin off and divestiture.
Ilham Kadri is an independent board member at A.O. Smith and at L’Oréal. In addition, she is an Executive Committee member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, member of the steering committee of the European Round Table of Industrialists as well as a permanent member of the International Business Council.  
Dr. Kadri holds a degree in chemical engineering from L’École des Hauts Polymères in Strasbourg and a PhD in macromolecular physico-chemistry from Strasbourg’s Louis Pasteur University.


John Porter, Chief Executive Officer at Telenet

John Porter is a seasoned CEO with over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications, media and entertainment industry. Under his leadership as CEO of Telenet, the leading provider of telecom and entertainment services in Belgium, the company has substantially diversified its portfolio, built the largest Giga-network in Europe, led the way in fixed-mobile convergence and made bold moves in the entertainment space. He is currently also leading the company through a profound agile and digital transformation. He is passionate about advancing diversity, promoting servant leadership and leading with purpose.

Prior to joining Telenet, he was the CEO of AUSTAR, a leading entertainment company in Australia. He led the company from its inception until its acquisition by Foxtel. Before that, John also worked at Time Warner (Ohio), Group W, and Westinhouse Cable Systems (Texas & Alabama).

John is a global citizen with American-Australian dual nationality and has worked and lived on 3 continents. He enjoys riding his bike over the weekends and sharing music / book tips with his 4 children and wife over a beer.
