Before the summer break, we are happy to share with you the latest news on Women on Board
The number of nominations is our highlight of the yearly General Assembly. This year the number was the record holder for 5 years: 62 members communicated 106 board nominations since June last year. You can read their names and appointments further in this Newsletter. Warm congratulations and good luck to all of them! Let’s continue to develop new board journeys and make boards stronger!
We are proud and grateful for our collaboration with Guberna, The Shift, BoardCompanions, Women in Finance, VKW Limburg and UHasselt, De Bestuurder. These longstanding and more recent partnerships testify that the positive impact of gender-diverse boards is increasingly recognised and makes both partners stronger.
On the board of Women on Board, there is one vacancy this year and three vacancies next year. Following a call for candidates, the Nominations Committee received many valuable candidacies, all testifying the association’s continuous engagement and support. However, the board decided to put the selection process on hold to further reflect and develop a more diverse board of directors.

once you have an expert profile, you get immediate access to an online media training video full of interactive exercises about how to link your expertise to the news, how to prepare for an interview and how to become more visible – you can watch the free video every time you need it
journalists will be able to find you on the expert database through key words, so make sure to include them in your profile! the best thing to do is to add a short CV video to your profile
Together, we can make diverse voices visible and heard. Don’t overthink this, just make your profile and share your expertise with the world.

The General Assembly was well attended. We were able to scan through the strange year we have had and what inspiration we have achieved and yet to work further on. The many new nominations you sent us have made us proud and the list can be seen below in this newsletter.
Dilitrust, our new gold partner, closed this session by giving a presentation of the possible dashboarding tool that board members can use to share and sign off documents on. (see below in the partner section for more information).
AN ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY BY KATHLEEN VAN DEN BERGHE
Kathleen Van Den Berghe, a member of Women on Board also runs 2 vineyards and lodgings in the Loire. She manages these domains on a sustainable basis and ensures that the wines are bio.
She took us to the Loire with her video and pictures explaining the soil differences, grape varieties and skills needed to ensure a fruitful year. All the while the participants tasted her red and white wine. Delicious!

Focus group together with UCL
Women on Board est en collaboration avec Louvain School of Management (Université Catholique de Louvain) sur la place du développement durable dans les conseils d’administration (CA) d’entreprises.
Ayant déjà élaboré une série d’hypothèses sur le sujet, nous avons réaliser une phase de discussion afin de confronter celles-ci à des dirigeants d’entreprises et/ou administrateurs. Nous avons créer des “focus group” afin de créer un espace propice à la récolte d’informations pertinentes sur le sujet.
Nous sommes heureux de mentionner qu’Isabelle Chaput est membre de ce focus group.
