Dear Friends,

 

I’m very happy to announce that after a rigorous selection process, the board of directors of ‘Women on Board’ has appointed Marie-Elisabeth Bellefroid as our new CEO.

 

Marie brings a wealth of experience in corporate governance, board effectiveness, and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing boards today. She began her career at Guberna as a senior research associate, and continued her impressive track record at Deloitte Belgium, where she led the development of corporate governance services and managed the Boardroom Program, an information and exchange platform for non-executive board members, which makes her the perfect fit to lead Women on Board into our next chapter.

 

As many of you know, our mission at Women on Board is to promote gender diversity in boardrooms, fostering innovation, better decision-making, and stronger companies. Together with all of you we’ve built an incredible community of over 320 talented women ready to take on board roles, and Marie’s expertise will be instrumental in accelerating our impact. Under Marie’s leadership, we’re not just aiming to be a “nice to have” organization – we’re setting our sights on becoming an unstoppable force for change. We’re ready to expand our reach, amplify our voice, and make an even greater difference in the boardrooms of both public and private companies.

 

I also want to extend my warmest thanks to Trees Paelinck for her eight years of exceptional leadership. Trees has been the heart and soul of Women on Board, and her dedication has been invaluable to our growth and success.  We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
