Influence is the leadership skill that matters at every stage of your career — whether you are stepping into your first leadership role, growing your impact as an executive, or contributing around the board table. Formal authority only takes you so far: real impact comes from asking the right question at the right moment, building support before the decision point, and making your voice count in the rooms where it matters. On 1 October, we dedicate an evening to exactly that skill — how leaders turn presence into influence, and influence into lasting impact.

On the program:

• Keynote — Sonja Rottiers, Chairwoman of the Belgian Finance Center and non-executive board member at Bnode and Matexi, among others, opens the evening with her perspective on influence around the board table — where impact is earned through credibility, not through your title.
• Panel discussion with leaders who bring an executive perspective: Inge Ampe, CEO of Bank B, Inge Neven, CEO of VITO, and Karel Van Eetvelt, CEO of Whyte EU Public Affairs, moderated by Prof. dr. Barney Jordaan (Vlerick Business School) — exploring what influence looks like in practice, in the C-suite and in the boardroom.
• Interactive networking session guided by Prof. dr. Martin Euwema (KU Leuven), designed to put the evening’s insights directly into practice.
